The Start Up

A few weeks ago Candice and I patricipated in Nike+'s The Human Race to raise money for The Lance Armstrong foundation and the UNICEF Refugee Agency.

We like the vision behind The Human Race, people working together to make change happen.

We designed the Walk With Love 10k to connect people to what we are doing around the world through awareness, action, and giving. The 10k (6.3 miles) is a great event for people to get involved, get some exercise and build community through a common cause. Feel free to walk, run, or cycle the 10k.

This year we are raising support for Candice and I as missionaries with Teen Challenge International. There are multiple ways to raise money for the Walk With Love event. Individuals participating in the event can find others to support them through:

1. A commitment per kilometer. (e.g. $3/per km)

2. A one time gift for the whole 10k. (e.g. $50/10k)

3. A monthly Missionary Faith Promise commitment of any amount. (e.g. $15/month)

4. Teams can also organized fundraising events (car washes, bake sales, or something creative).
